Steve Shuholm

Steve Shuholm is an industrial engineer with an MBA and 27 years of global manufacturing experience. He is the Maverick’s hands-on industrial engineering guru. He brings a sharp eye and sophisticated knowledge of European and Asian manufacturing to every Maverick project.

Before joining the Mav, Steve worked with Entegris Corp.(a multinational provider of materials used in semiconductors, data storage and fuel cells). As a development/applications engineer, he was a key team member of FOUP (a specialized packaging system for 300 mm wafers) development and managed all customer interface for the development process of the first 25 wafer FOUPs in the semiconductor industry. He also managed worldwide strategic and technical sales.

Before Entegris, Steve worked for Wacker Siltronic (now Siltronic, a silicon wafer manufacturer), where he did process engineering, process simplification and production control. He managed yield improvement projects, implemented cost reduction initiatives, directed clean room construction and factory integration, did factory comparisons, inventory turns and KanBan system implementation, did industrial simulations. and was a trainer for Six Sigma. His cycle time reduction activities set industry leading cycle time performance.

As a manufacturing engineer for Texas Instruments, he managed the components, assembly and delivery of complete systems for Department of Defense avionics. His work involved coordinating manufacturing activity around supply chains for components, quality systems, manufacturing, assembly and shipping schedules.

Steve holds an MBA from the University of Portland and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Oregon State University. In his spare time, he fly-fishes, golfs and rides motorcycles.
