Head Maverick Todd Hudson is the Institute’s founder and pioneered the application of lean production principles to knowledge transfer. With more than 25 years of LEAN operations and plant management experience at European, Chinese and US-owned electronics companies, he’s seen just about everything the business world can throw at you. From frenetic growth to cutting out fat, cutting into muscle and cutting your own throat.
Todd is clear sighted and a truth teller. His insatiable curiosity and keen observation skills get to the heart of situations quickly. Never satisfied with the status quo, Todd is the consumate 'Why not?' thinker helping clients to set novel (and sometimes scary) learning goals and create unusual and exciting strategies to reach them. Last, Todd is all about measurable results and positive impact.
He speaks regularly at companies, conferences and industry associations about improving knowledge transfer by applying lean principles and methods. He is the author of two books, My Personal Onboarding Plan: The New Hires Guide to On-The-Job Success and Not A Moment To Lose: The Step-By-Step Guide to Internship Success and is currently working on a third discussing the principles and applications of LEAN to knowledge transfer.
Todd holds an MS in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of Massachusetts and a BA in Chinese from Connecticut College. He is a devout foodie, avid cyclist, frustrated scuba diver and sometime amateur filmmaker.
